From a fixed point subject appearance alters with changes in light direction. The effect of any given light depends
up on our viewpoint. Thus if we alter either the
source direction or our position (eg. switch to
another camera) the appearance of subject will change. As a frontal light moves from the lens
axis, the appearance of the subject changes progressively.
