Animated
light for fluctuating illumination provides opportunities for many stylised lighting or decorative
lighting variations. It can be introduced naturalistically too. Light can sweep across surfaces,
imparting an existing pace. It may be the fleeting spot of a mirror ball: the rhythmical flashing of a street sign
the passing window lights from an unseen train: the ceiling-
light set swinging in the course of fight, even flickering flames
from the hearth. Again, there is a lighting
approach in which the cause for light-movement should be quiet apparent
- unless the aim is to mystify.
